The 2nd round of the Trophy CRO took place on March 3rd, 2013, at Sintra track, Portugal, our home track. The weather was good for the time season â“ cold and a little bit windy.
Track was quite dirty as there was no race here for a long time. It was our first training and race this year because it was raining a lot this winter in our country. We implemented a lot of changes to our car, e.g. new engine and exhaust - REDS M3 WC Touring, new lowered engine mounts #338717, new XCA clutch set reverse #338502 & 338534, hardcoated alu pivot balls #337251 etc. The total weight was reduced to 1.650g.
So, put all together and you can imagine that it was not easy for us to find the right setup. This was the reason we didnâ™t make TQ. The new clutch is really good in terms of consistency but it take some time to find the right adjustment when using spring.
In the finals weâ™ve reach the chequered flag in the first place without a single incident.
We used an engine REDS M3 WC Touring, J-Tech tires, Spark fuel and Protoform P37N car body.
